Are Tracs UV air purifiers safe?

Tracs UV air purifier

The low-power UV light used in the ultraviolet disinfection and sterilization used in the air purifier is the UVC wave ultraviolet lamp. The power is only a few watts (the power is very small), so Tracs UV air purifiers are safe and not harmful to the human body.

The wavelength range of UVC ultraviolet rays is 200-275nm, and the band with the strongest bactericidal effect is 250-270nm.

Importance of ultraviolet rays in Tracs UV air purifiers:

Ultraviolet rays can kill various microorganisms, including bacterial propagules, spores, mycobacteria, viruses, fungi, rickettsia and mycoplasma, etc. All surfaces, water and air contaminated by the above microorganisms can be disinfected with ultraviolet rays. Ultraviolet sterilization has low radiation energy and weak penetrating power, and can only kill directly irradiated microorganisms. Therefore, the sterilized part must be fully exposed to ultraviolet rays during disinfection.

Use of TRACS UV air purifiers:

UVC needs 5 seconds to destroy most bacteria, as long as the light source intensity is high, there is no problem. UVC germicidal lamps are widely used in medical sterilization industry, air, sewage treatment plants, etc. There are reasons to choose UVC ultraviolet sterilization. Bacteria, like all living things, need ultraviolet rays, even weak ultraviolet rays. At the beginning of life, ocean water was isolated from high-intensity ultraviolet radiation, which made single-celled animals gradually develop into various life forms. Constantly evolving, only one wavelength range of UV is not utilized: UVC.

Advent of artificial UVC bands in Tracs UV air purifier:

The reason why UVC is not used is that UVC cannot reach the earth’s surface after the ozone layer is ready. In addition to the defects of UVC’s own penetrating power, the absorption of clouds, and the refraction of particulate objects in the atmosphere, the earth’s life forms do not consider UVC to exist. Until the advent of artificial UVC bands.

The sterilization principle of UCV:
The role of UVC is not good for cellular animals. We are accustomed to ultraviolet rays other than UVC, and we have evolved adaptability. Suddenly the UVC band appears to be strengthened, and unicellular animals such as bacteria absorb UVC ultraviolet rays, just like absorbing UVC rays. The ultraviolet rays in other bands are the same, but there are changes. The DNA in the body is broken, and the substances needed for survival cannot be synthesized, divided, or inherited, as long as 5S. What about multicellular animals? For example, we: exposure to UVC for 3-5 hours, the skin begins to appear erythema or red spots, blistering, and the skin surface peels off. The eyes will be sore after seeing, the tears will not stop, and the cornea will be severely damaged. This happens as long as the UVC intensity is high enough.

There are two methods of ultraviolet disinfection and sterilization in the air:

1. Indirect irradiation method: high-intensity ultraviolet air sterilizer is the first choice, not only the disinfection effect is reliable, but also can be used when people are moving indoors. Generally, the disinfection can be qualified for 30 minutes after starting the disinfection.

2. Direct irradiation method: Under the condition of no one indoors, the ultraviolet lamp can be directly irradiated by hanging type or mobile type. When using indoor suspended UV disinfection, the number of indoor UV disinfection lamps (30W UV lamps, with an intensity of >70 uW/cm2 at 1.0 meters) is an average of not less than 1.5W per cubic meter and the irradiation time is not less than 30min. The air flows rapidly inside the purifier. Assuming that the minimum wind speed of the air purifier is 1.0m/s, it only takes 1/6s to pass through a 10cm pipeline. It is difficult for the ultraviolet lamp to achieve disinfection and sterilization in such a short period of time.

Effects of Tracs UV air purifiers:

The biggest role of the UV lamp is to keep the bacteria inside the air purifier.

Advantages of using UV lamp sterilization in Tracs UV air purifiers:

The ultraviolet rays used in ultraviolet disinfection and sterilization are C-wave ultraviolet rays, whose wavelength range is 200-275nm, and the band with the strongest sterilization effect is 250-270nm.
