Kashmir Great Lakes Trek

The trek from Sonmarg to the next point, the Nichnai campsite, takes at least 3 hours. The jungles in Kashmir are generally studded with Himalayan Silver fir and locally known as Buddle. Valley of Flowers Trek
Valley of Flowers is located in Uttarakhand. It is given the tag of UNESCO World Heritage Site for its diversity of flora and fauna. The reach to the point will start from Dehradun to Joshimath, which is a 10 hour drive. From Joshimath you need to reach Govindghat from where the actual trekking starts. Pulna village is located in Govindghat and from here you must go to Ghangaria which is a 10 kilometers trek. Ghangaria is a beautiful place covered with a lot of greenery and at almost every turn you will find a waterfall. There is more to offer when you move from Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers, which is another 7 kilometers trek. The way itself would be pretty beautiful with huge trees along with valleys and meadows. It is one of the adventurous treks especially when you do it in winters. You can start your journey from Dehradun to Sankri, which is the base of Kedarkantha.
