Sar Pass Trek

Kasol is a Himalayan hot spot for trekkers and nature enthusiasts. And Sar Pass trek is part of Kasol Trek. It is recommended for beginners and has a difficulty level of moderate trial. It takes around 6 days to complete the trek to and from Sar Pass. The halting places like Grahan village, Mung Thach, Nagaru, and Biscari offer some excellent views of the pine trees and barren rocks. After Grahan, the trail becomes quite steep, which actually makes the trek a real one. Chadar Trek

The journey for Chadar Trek starts at Leh in Ladakh. It is recommended to acclimatize for 3 days in Leh before you proceed to attempt Chadar trek. There are certain basic health checkups that every trekker must pass in order to start your journey. On the way towards the valley you can view the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar. The 2-3 hours drive along the Zanskar will lead you to the trail road. Walking on a frozen river is a bit tricky. After slipping, falling and trying to gather your balance you will encounter your 1st camping site, the Shingra Koma, which is 10,400 feet above sea level. After a glimpse of the vast snow carpet you will arrive at Tibb, the next camp site. After moving further, you will witness the frozen waterfall of Nerak, which is the most iconic site. And the next destination will lead you to Chadar. With the thin sheet of snow covered over the river it can only lead you to the pinnacle.

Kashmir Great Lakes Trek

Srinagar city is unlike any other city in the country with beautiful scenery and views along with the months of chilling cold. The trek starts from Sonmarg, which is also a campsite. The trek from Sonmarg to the next point, the Nichnai campsite, takes at least 3 hours. The jungles in Kashmir are generally studded with Himalayan Silver fir and locally known as Buddle. The trek encompasses the barren rocky lands to beautiful meadows. You will also get to walk on the frozen river and it would be a quietly different experience when the river flows rightly underneath you. The tricky part is that though the day remains sunny, the wind blows with the freezing cold. After crossing Vishnu Sar campsite and Gadser pass, you will see the spectacular views of Vishnu Sar and Krishna Sar lakes. After a while you will also spot Gadsar and Yamsar Lakes, which completes the whole trek to the Great Lakes. 

Valley of Flowers Trek

Valley of Flowers is located in Uttarakhand. It is given the tag of UNESCO World Heritage Site for its diversity of flora and fauna. The reach to the point will start from Dehradun to Joshimath, which is a 10 hour drive. From Joshimath you need to reach Govindghat from where the actual trekking starts. Pulna village is located in Govindghat and from here you must go to Ghangaria which is a 10 kilometers trek. Ghangaria is a beautiful place covered with a lot of greenery and at almost every turn you will find a waterfall. There is more to offer when you move from Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers, which is another 7 kilometers trek. The way itself would be pretty beautiful with huge trees along with valleys and meadows. Flowers are uniquely dotted everywhere in the valley which are dressed up in beautiful colors everywhere. 

Kedarkantha Trek 

It is one of the adventurous treks especially when you do it in winters. You can start your journey from Dehradun to Sankri, which is the base of Kedarkantha. You can start your trek the next day, meanwhile you can acclimatize there because it is very important for you to adapt to the high altitude. You can view very tall trees in the midst of mighty mountains. From here you can reach Juda Ka Talab. As you move on the altitude and the steep both increase slowly. As you reach the nearest point of Kedarkantha the scenes become more beautiful and mesmerizing. Finally, the sunrise view from the summit is a fascinating experience that you must have.
