Hotel Equatorial has located about 8km from the center of town. The drive from the airport took about 20 minutes and was surprisingly smooth. As we pulled up, it was clear that this hotel is a little different than what you might expect. You see, it’s not just a hotel – it’s an oasis with restaurants, pools, gardens, and waterfalls all set around a beautiful man-made lagoon. We were greeted by some friendly staff members who showed us around the property before heading to our room. It was a lot bigger than I expected! Our suite had two bedrooms that would be perfect for families or friends traveling together and even came with an attached kitchenette complete with a fridge, stovetop, and microwave oven.
